ABOUT US

S.B. MacDonald has been building, restoring and repairing guitars professionally in his Huntington, Long Island shop since 1991.

He has been featured in the Sunday NY Times, Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar, and the books Custom Guitars a Contemporary Guide, The Art and Craft of Contemporary Guitar, and The Guitar Blue Book series.

Scott custom designs each instrument for the client, so that each instrument is unique and meets the player's individual needs. Voice, style, personality, and physical details such as hands and finger size, how the player holds the instrument, and the tone and spirit of voice are all part of the process of custom building his guitars.

Scott's office and client salon is separate from the 4 zone climate controlled shop. Decorated in Mission and Arts and Crafts furnishings, complete with a soda fountain playing stool, vintage candy machine, and the best coffee you'll get anywhere.
Clients are seen by appointment, one at a time.

The shop is also an authorized repair center for Martin, Taylor and Gibson guitars.
